Below are just a few of our awesome photos, be sure to see the entire gallery.
Today’s port was Adelaide Australia. But instead of exploring Adelaide, we booked a private Koala experience at Cleland Wildlife Park about an hour’s drive from the port. To make things easier, we prebooked Uber’s for both directions and it was awesome, they were right on time for both rides.
Our experience allowed us to hold a Koala for about 30 minutes getting professional pictures while the zoo keeper told us all about the animals. We got Daisy. She was a 6 year old female and ate the entire time we were with her. But she was amazing.

After Daisy decided our time was up, we spent about 30 more minutes with another zoo keeper who pointed out the highlights of the park and then left us to explore on our own, but not before giving us a bucket of food to feed the animals. Cleland is different that most zoos as most of the animals are free-ranging and we are allowed to move among them.
There were tons of Kangaroos and Wallabies, many different species.

The emu were hilarious and we were warned that if we feed them, we might get a new friend. We did.

There were lots of various other mammals including a very odd critter, the Echidna as well as Dingo. Echidna are related to the platypus and are egg laying mammals with porcupine quills. Their back feet point backwards. Odd little dudes. The Dingo is a wild Australian dog. Not sure what the little grey guy below is but he was in with the Echidna.

Besides Koala, the highlight was the Australian pelican.

And of course, there were lots of other birds…..

It was a great day! Next, we have 3 days at sea to reach Freemantle, Australia.
