On Sunday, one of Karen’s crowns fell out so we changed plans and instead of going to the Queen Mary, we had a dentist appointment. We also used the opportunity to do some shopping. We had some Amazon orders delivered to an Amazon Lock Box location which happened to be inside a Ross Dress for Less.
Immigration in San Pedro was a nightmare, it took almost 30 minutes to just walk off the ship. As soon as we cleared immigration and the hoards of folks trying to help us get our luggage thinking we were disembarking the cruise, we found a cab stand and after about a 5 minute wait, were on our way.
It was actually cheaper to take the cab than the Uber surge pricing so it was a $20 ride to the dentist. We were done about 1030 and walked about 1/3 mile south to another shopping center. We stopped into a CVS for a few things, then had lunch at McDonald’s. After eating, we spent some time shopping at Ross. Ken bought a fanny pack, new sandals, a new belt. Karen bought a new back pack, socks, and some headbands.
The lock boxes were right next to the check out counter so were able to grab our delivery after paying for our Ross treasures. We jumped into a cab and then had to get back through security to the ship.
The best thing we did was buy a shower caddy from Amazon. This will be a game changer going forward.
