Today we rented a Honda Odyssey for an awesome adventure to Waimea Canyon, the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, as well as the Na Pali coast overlook.
Unfortunately, we found that the main road up to Waimea Canyon was closed to construction for about 9 miles so we had to take a detour on a different road. This cost some time and we ended up only driving up to the 2nd overlook but it was beautiful.
First, we toured the Kauai Coffee Estate. It is the largest coffee farm in all of the USA.
After a self guided tour and some coffee tasting, we started up to Waimea Canyon. It is nothing you would ever expect to see in the islands.
