Today we tour to Wings Wildlife Park and it included a two route countryside drive. The drive was about an hour and set in a beautiful location of the Gunns Plain.
We arrived before the cruise busses and immediately purchased two animal encounters: Baby Wombat and baby Pademelon, which is a small kangaroo type animal.
Baby Wombat was up first.
Then Baby Pademelon. Each encounter was about 10 minutes of 1 on 1 time with the animal.
We saw several enclosures with Tasmanian Devils. At one point there was a fight over food. They are ferocious.
When we bought the encounters, we also bought 2 bags of kangaroo food and it was off to see “Roos”.
There were lots of birds.
There were even non-Australian species like meerkats and monkeys.
It was a great day. Tonight we headed north to the mainland and Melbourne to see Tina and Peter.
